This recipe can be drunk hot or cold but is a wonderful comforting fruity drink. When I was visiting Ecuador a friend of my family made this recipe for us when we stayed at her house and taught me how to make this delicious drink! Thank you Tulitta for sharing this recipe!

How much: 1 gallon
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 apples peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 orange
- 2 kiwis (optional)
- 1 cup pineapple (optional)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 large carrots peeled and grated
- 2 cups water
- 3 cinnamon sticks (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
- Several whole cloves (or ½ teaspoon ground cloves)
- Allspice, cardamom, or any other spice you want (optional)
Note: If using whole spices put in a tea infuser to boil or pick them out before blending
Directions:
- Add all ingredients in a pot and bring to boil
- Boil for about 10 minutes until apples disintegrate
- Once mix is thick and bubbly take off burner and let cool for about 15 minutes
- Take out tea infuser or pick out whole spices
- Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor
- Sive through cheesecloth or strainer
- Drink hot or over ice
